Hey! wow, it's been a while, hasn't it? Now that I'm working, it's harder to do the stuff I'd like to do - just run out of time everyday! I'm not used to it yet, because for nearly 3 years, I'd have all the time in the world to do exactly what I want, when I want - not anymore!

Let's see.... On the tv front: Monk and Psych are back, along with a new show Burn Notice. Monk has been just eh.... alright, I've been enjoying Psych of course, and Burn Notice is semi-entertaining. Besides that, no tv for me!

on the movie front: Order of the Phoenix = wonderful; I've seen it a fair few times. sad thing is, it left my theater (awwwww!) I saw Hairspray yesterday - that was fine, I like musicals for the most part. One thing I didn't like was the racial plot, but besides that most the songs were alright - I like the songs of the credits better (I've heard those many times...)

Books: Like Deathly Hallows? I can't believe I didn't post anything about it!! I'm sure you're all done, but just in case I won't give examples. The book for me was alright, the ending was so clever.... I thought it moved a bit slow in some of the middle parts, but it usually led to an action scene. I didn't like the death toll, and I didn't like Dumbledore's involvement - but that's all I'm saying!

I'm going to be starting my senior year on August 20 (woah, first time in three years I'm on time!) My classes were all messed up (hats off to you, Granger Christian) and had a right fine old time figuring them out. I'm still not sure whether or not I have the right amount of credits, but I should be finding out soon, as my books are in the mail. by the sound of it, not a fun year

So, I've been trying to save my money for something useful, like a car. you know how hard it is to save, especially when a few stores have Harry Potter merchandise? haha, so tempting... I splurged a bit at Hot Topic... that was fun. I think now I'd like to buy a computer... maybe a laptop... I don't know, but I've got to keep saving a few months for that one!

Just saw the midnight show.......

AMAZING!! 5 stars!!

I wouldn't say it was my favorite, but it was by far the funniest. They stayed very close to the book - Oh my goodness I can't stop thinking about it. Do watch it so we can discuss it more, because no matter how much I'd like to, I'm not giving anything away!

Hey, all - how are you? amazingly quick update:

work = wonderful! everyone is so fun to work with, and it's so easy

tv = well, since my 24 is gone, my cousin recommended me to Traveler - I missed the first three episodes, and those were the ones with the action. So I'm going to start watching it, see how it'll be...

library = I've got to get a hold of Brittanie so we can brainstorm some Order of the Phoenix questions - maybe you can think of some! there's going to be a group discussion, so you can think about that as you read along

life = rosy peachy

Brittanie's birthday was 2 weeks ago, and I just wrapped her present - I would tell you what it is, but you never know who's eyes wander to my page...

Well, I am still working on my sewing projects, (haha 4 unfinished ones all together) and I just bought crinoline AND a hoop skirt - totally good price too ~ $18 for both of them, and to anyone who knows (which is.. nobody) that is a good deal

Guess what? July 11!!! coming up fast! I'd love to reread the HP books, but I'm much to s l o w of a reader - awww

Hola, mis agmigos! Guess what finally happened to me? I got a JOB!!! I'm so excited - I was scared at first, because they called the day I left for my vacation, so I didn't get the guy's voicemail until yesterday... They hired somebody else, but my friend told me to call anyway.... I called, and the guy said "oh, I'm sorry. You are 3 days late" ... "JUST KIDDING!" But it was great - I walked in, he didn't ask me much, and said "ok, can you work tomorrow?"

But I'm getting ahead of myself - first: after Paul's graduation / party we drove to the Upper Penninsula to a cabin we've been staying in for 3 years now - the weather wasn't the best... Cold/Rainy/Windy - not great fishing weather, but excellent poker weather ~ Went with $75, came back with $64, though my high was $95 and my low was $23, so I'm not complaining! I may put a picture or two on here - we'll see if I find one I like!

Then today my dad and I drove to Chicago to visit my Uncle - Not doing so hot, but my dad always makes people in better moods. Probably going next week, too ~ It's becoming part of our schedule (uh-oh, I'm going to run out of movies to watch on the way!)

Hello! I had an eventful week. On Sunday, I was having excrutiating pain in my side (I have had it before, but not like that), and I was going into a mass hysteria, so on Monday night(wow, I didn't even get to enjoy the 24 finale (not that I would have anyway....) my dad brought me to the emergency room (Oh man, do you know how much one of those visits are? INSANE!) and I found out I had a kidney stone - those little things hurt! Average size is 1-3 mm ~ I have a 7 mm {OuCh!}

So on thursday, I went to the urologist who sent me straight up north to a hospital for surgery - haha, all the nurses thought it was so odd, first time going to the hospital since my kindergarden shots, and I was sitting there so calm... So the surgery took about half an hour, I was out for an hour, then my parents, elizabeth, joseph, my aunt, and my cousin all came to visit me. I won't share some of the details out of pure gross-ness, but I'm all good now. Just a bit sore, and I have to take some medication every 4 hours for about a week to keep out infection

The worst thing about the week was I lost my appetite - hadn't eaten much of anything since Sunday, so I finally got to eat dinner yesterday - YUM! my family is treating me well - I've got everything I wanted handed to me ~ wow, this is the life!

Hola! Well, Since I last talked to you, I've turned 17! My birthday was fun - Paul brought me home my favorite kind of shake (strawberry banana fruit and yogurt - mmmmm), Daniel brought me home (by request) breadsticks and cheese, my dad made me my birthday dinner, Joseph gave me chocolate covered raisins, Elizabeth gave me my favorite kind of shampoo and hairspray, and Adam gave me a diper wipe {]} sad, but true

Other family members sent me cash - always nice... ?Wrote them yesterday *- it was hard trying to think of different things to say to them

24 is having a 2 hour season finale tomorrow *tears*

Smallville had it's finale Thursday - still don't know if it's being picked up for season #7, {wow, its getting weird (what do I mean "getting?" ~ is!! 7 }and frankly I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't, though they did leave us haning - darn I hate those

And what am I going to do? Shows are ending... I guess Monk and Psych will be on soon ~ hurrah! But they don't have Jack in it.... Awww

My school has been fine - Working on my last quarter now.. I won't be done when other people are, but I won't be far along. It's getting harder and harder to do my school though - the weather is so inviting{ I've been planting in my garden with my dad - It's looking beautiful!B

Less then a week till I'm 17!

It's been a pretty long time, hasn't it? 2 weeks - wow! Since I've last written, I went to prom, saw Spiderman 3 (won't say anything save for spoiling, but it took me a while to decide if I liked it or not!), and finished my Bible Study for the year.

The prom was fun, but (as always) dressing up was the best part. My sister did my hair up, and my dress (from ebay) was just lovely. It's a shame, I didn't take one decent picture... I'll try and salvage the junk that I took and attempt to show you all what I looked like.

Afterwards, we saw Spiderman - good previews! haha, I was the only one cheering when the Harry Potter 5 one came on (Christian school, you know - just don't understand!) and also a Fantastic Four (Was I the only one who liked that movie?)

My Bible Study ended with a trip to the ice cream shop - Cherry Cheesecake which really tasted like Chocolate cherry in disguise - YUM. All those girls are so nice, even though they don't know me! Makes it fun...

Only 2 more Mondays with 24 left *crying uncontrollably* the last day is a 2 hour finale which makes for a better end, but still....

I've been neglecting my school for *ahem* a while, and should get back to it - don't want to be done in July, now do I? I'll get back to you soon!

Would you look at that - tomorrow will be 17 days till my 17th birthday! I still have no idea what to tell people when they ask me what I want... From now on, I'm saying a Strawberry Banana frozen yogurt milkshake from my favorite Steak 'n Shake. I'm actually sad about my birthday - My favorite bracelet says "sweet sixteen"... After May 16th, I couldn't wear it again *awwww*

I went to the Drive In theater with my family yesterday! Saw Next and Disturbia. I had seen Disturbia already, but Next (you know, the one where Nic Cage has weird hair?) was alright - Won't spoil it for you, but I'll just say if their ending had been a bit different, I probably would have liked it a tad more

That's all I'll say for now - I have to send some pictures in for a scrapbook for my grandma

24 - woo! Jack vs. Everybody (just the way I like it)

Idol - Sanjaya is finally gone {How did he get that far?}

Smallville - haha, I don't know yet! On in a few...

Other updates:

I sewed a brown skirt, right? it's a couple inches above the knee, has two layers, and is just chocolate brown.... So I looked in my closet ~ I have an exact replica!! haha, I didn't even know it! Grr.. how annoying

I started reading a 24 series! haha, all the "declassified" missions of Jack and Co.

I made Cheescake from scratch today - I'll try it in a couple minutes, so I'll have to tell you how it turned out.
